With expertise across a spectrum of treatment methods, we employ a holistic approach customized to your individual needs.

Our Therapeutic Approaches

We believe in a holistic approach, which means that all parts of your life are interconnected. Each aspect of your life – your emotional health, your physical health, your diet, your relationships, and your past experiences – are connected and influence the other.  We treat you as a whole person, not just a symptom.

My teammates and I have years of experience and training in a variety of treatment modalities. Here are brief descriptions of some of our areas of expertise:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts influence our behavior and our behavior impacts our life. CBT helps you identify distorted or unhealthy thoughts that have led to unhelpful behavior patterns and replace those thoughts with more accurate, healthy thoughts. CBT also helps you develop coping strategies to help you face your fears, manage your emotions and change your behaviors.  Read more...

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)

This therapeutic intervention, which is an expansion of CBT, is designed to help you increase your ability to remain present in the current moment, tolerate difficult/painful feelings, regulate your emotions and enhance your relationships.  Read more...

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is a therapeutic intervention that uses eye movement to help you process and heal from traumatic experiences. It has been shown to be incredibly effective for people experiencing trauma-related distress. Read more...

Family Systems Therapy

This treatment focuses on helping you resolve conflicts based on the context of your family of origin where problems may have begun. Maladaptive patterns started in childhood may affect your current relationships and behaviors. It is important to gain an understanding of the effects of our past in order to change the unhealthy patterns that have evolved as a result. Read more...

Solution Focused Therapy

This treatment method focuses on current problems and takes a goal-oriented, practical approach. Past experiences and childhood issues are discussed only as they relate to the current situation. We often use this method with couples who need to improve their communication and conflict resolution skills or help restore trust from infidelity. Read more...
